With growing numbers of children spending their early years, afternoons, and summers in child care centers, afterschool and youth programs, and camps, it is important to identify and support the important role that staff in these settings can play in bullying prevention.

This section examines each of these venues separately, highlighting unique characteristics that might increase the risk of bullying, as well as strategies for minimizing this risk.

We suggest using the strategies described in this section in conjunction with those described in What You Can Do and Bully-Free Environment.
